My musical journey

(And why I can provide you with the expertise to enhance your voice in every way)

I started music at only three months old when my mother started taking me to music together classes so I was around a musical environment early. At only six years old I started taking my first singing lessons with my first singing teacher up until I needed more advanced training. At 13 I started my training in classical music and light opera which enhanced my technique exponentially. I’ve completed up to level 8 in the royal conservatory music.

I started my songwriting journey at only eleven years old and would later go on to win awards for my soulful lyrics and enticing melodies. At twelve years old I started competing in various competitions around my area, that same year winning St. Alberts got talent. At the ages 13 and 14 I won multiple awards and scholarships for my pop, country, classical and musical theatre performances (going to provincials in musical theatre). I competed in the Big Valley Jamboree competition over the years honing my craft in the country genre and won two audience choice awards in the process. Over the years Ive done many performances including charity events, bar gigs, opening acts etc.

Once I turned 16 I wanted to start pursuing my biggest goal, to release music all over the world. I released my song “Blame” back in 2021 but took a short break until now to start releasing again. Since my latest  release from back in January “Easy”, I’ve grown a very large fanbase all around the globe and its incredible. I am now starting to release my music frequently and will continue to use my music to connect with others. That song is important to me because it put how I was feeling into a tangible, audible way to express my emotions and troubles. When I write music I want to help other people and give them something that can be comforting hearing that other people struggle as well and that they’re not alone in it. My main goal is to connect to others through my music. Now my focus is creating music that is significant to myself and others. I also want to able to create an impact on society and help people through my music.

I currently attend Macewan University in their Vocal Performance program in my second year. I'm being trained in Music theory. Ear training, ensemble work, basic piano, private instruction (which includes mainly vocal techniques), and many performance classes all to train me and hone my craft. I've been teaching for over half a year now with multiple students and would love to get to help you as well. With all this being said I am extremely confident I can take your voice to the next level and advance your vocals and music knowledge exponentially.

Hope that helps you know a little bit more about me.

Qualifications by genre

AS YOU'LL SEE IN THE "SERVICES" TAB I OFFER MANY DIFFERENT GENRES!

Classical music- I did classical training for three years with one of the best classical teachers in the area. I did royal conservatory until level 8. I did the St. Albert Rotary Festival every year of my life, with 3 of those being classical and light opera and receiving 3 scholarships.

Country music- i grew up on country music it was the only thing my mom listened to. When I started performing I exclusively did country music. I would do the Big Valley Jamboree competition for 4 years, and throughout this they mentored me and strengthened my technique.

Musical theater- I started my journey in the world of musical theater at 12 when I auditioned for my first musical at Victoria School Of The Arts. From then on I was doing the musical there every year all the way to grade 11. I loved it so much I auditioned for St. Alberts Children Theater and started participating in that program as well. I was doing two musicals simultaneously for half the year and another after, totaling 3 full musical productions a year for 3 years. I also went to provincials with a musical theater piece.

Popular music/indie/R&B/contemporary- After a few years of classical I wanted to expand into popular music because releasing music was my main goal (which I now do) so I started training in pop and the mentioned above to make the switch over from classical training. I did this training up until I went to Macewan in September 2022.  During this time I learned all about the tone and techniques to use when singing these popular genres like the artists you hear on the radio etc. at this point of my training I honed the technique of switching and controlling the different aspects of each genre which makes my voice very versatile and I can teach you that as well! Being able to sing multiple genres is an incredibly amazing skill that makes your voice adaptable to anything you want to be able to sing.

Rock - This genre I was able to work on at Macewan over the past two years. They offered me great support and advice on knowing the proper way to sing rock effectively without causing any damage to your vocal chords by straining too much trying to get the “Proper” sound. Rock is such a fun genre to sing but without the proper technique it can be damaging to your voice. Learning this is super important and I've got the proper training to teach you how to sing it effectively and in a healthy way for your voice. (I even write and sing pop-rock songs now).

Jazz- This is another genre i learned while at macewan, jazz is a very main focus there because as some people say jazz is the foundation of lots of different music. With this you need a strong vibrato which I can effectively teach through my classical training and can also provide guidance on how to scat whether it's written or you're wanting to improvise.
